Osiris

In Pre-Production

In the heart of Sherwood Forest stands a great ancient oak tree. It has long been a mystery as to why this one thousand year old tree grew to such a large size. There are theories and legends, but none come close to the truth. Unemployed gamer Jason Fox is about to make a discovery deep beneath the Major Oak. One that will take him far beyond our world...

What is Osiris?

Osiris comes from years of development on my own ideas for an original audio adventure series. Before I started writing the first script I wanted to make sure everything came together to form a story that draws you into the action. I want each scene to drive the story forward and the first script is essential to the success of the series.

The idea for Osiris began after I made a short film called Transference for a BBC3 filmmaking competition about a young student who found a sphere containing the powerful force that created the universe and unable to control this power ends up destorying it. In retrospect the film I produced was pretty dire but it was full of interesting ideas and showed how creative I could be if I had any kind of budget! This was followed by a similar short film that was more character driven. These short films will never see the light of day and will remain locked in my DVD project box.

Over the last six years the story evolved and notes were being written and kept in a folder on almost a daily basis. The sphere has gone and replaced with something much more intriguing and flexible, the location isn't fixed to one village but spans further than the confines of Earth, the story has moved away from the basis of a god-like power, the series will now be an audio adventure and not a film, and finally I am writing it in the hope that it will be picked up by a company for broadcast on radio at some point in the future.

You may have noticed a menu button on each page of this website called Osiris. When this project begins production the Osiris section of the website will be available.

I am looking for support for this cinematic audio adventure. When the first script is nearing completion I am thinking of raising funds through WeFund.co.uk. When this is set up I will post details on here.
