The Artistic Composer
Need an unforgettable full orchestral soundtrack? A music composer must be able to create a music score that will intensify the emotions of a scene or drama and is a valuable contribution to the success of any production.
Music is a beautiful thing. Almost everyone on this earth shares this common interest. Music can make you happy or sad, excited or bored. It is powerful, emotional, and it makes us hum or sing.
I specialise in composing orchestral music. I love the intricate detail that an orchestra can produce and unlike any other style of music it has so many layers to delve into. Heard on a good pair of speakers, orchestral music sound gorgeous. Put on a pair of good headphones and you can hear deep into the recording bringing out instruments you never knew was there. Sometimes when I listen to recent pop music I just can't tell the difference between songs. I know it's because I prefer film scores but it seems they all have that same beat, the same guitar sound, similar vocals, etc.
I have so much to play with when composing music. It's almost like sound design but at a much more personal level. With orchestral scores I can use all the instruments readily available and incorporate electronic sounds, guitars, experimental percussion, a theremin or any sound I feel is good for the production. For television, radio or film I feel that music is a seduction for the auditory senses and it can have a huge impact on your feelings for characters and the story. It is not there to tell you how to feel but to guide you through what the characters feel.
Every time I hear a good piece of music it makes me want to write a symphony or hum it when I wake up in the morning. But get it wrong and it could ruin a production. Get it right and you won't even need images because the music can tell a story on its own.
